About Panna National Park
Panna National Park is situated in central Indian state of Madhya Pradesh, at a distance of 57 kms from Khajuraho, 727 kms from Bhopal and 889 kms from Delhi. Panna is famous for its diamonds, but the region is also home to one of the best Tiger Reserves in India. Panna National Park is situated in the Vindhyan Ranges and sprawls over Panna and Chattarpur districts.

Inhabitants
of the ParkAnimal Species : Deer is the main inhabitant of this park which include the little Chinkara, the Indian Gazelle and the Chital. Apart from species of deer, Panna National Park is home to other animal species such as - Tigers, Leopards, Wild Dogs, Wolf, Hyaena, Caracal, Sloth Bear, Nilgai, Sambar, Chausingha or four-horned Antelope, Blackbuck, Langur, Jackal, Jungle Cat, Wild Boar, Crocodile etc.
Avian Species : Panna National park is also rich in the population of avian species. The park houses more than 200 avian species, including migratory birds. One can see White Necked Stork, Barheaded Goose, Honey Buuzzard, King Vulture, Blossom Headed Parakeet, Paradise Flycatcher, Slaty headed Scimitar Babbler, Red Wattled Lapwing, Mallard Gadwall, Pochard, Pintail, Teal, Large Pied Wagtail, Pond Heron, White Breasted Kingfisher, Cormorant, Painted Stork, White Ibis, Laggar Falcon, Purple Sun bird and Golden Oriole.
